Chartering a yacht in Sardinia: your ultimate bucket list.

Sardinia is one of the most charming places on earth and holds more than the 25% of the total Italian coastline: you can easily imagine why it is definitely considered one of the best places to be explored on a luxury yacht.

One of the main characteristic of this incredible land is that it adapts to pretty much any kind of holiday you may wish for: enchanting trekking trails, endless beaches, tiny rural villages and jet-set boutiques and clubs, all coexist here in perfect harmony, allowing everyone to live his dream vacation.
If you have decided to rent a crewed yacht in Sardinia, the following experiences should definitely be on your bucket list (trust us, we were lucky enough to test them all)!

1-Snorkeling in La Maddalena archipelago

Sardinia is very famous for its stunning waters but this tiny group of islands and islets is truly out of this world; the variety of landscapes you can enjoy here is incredible, each shore is different (including the one of a kind “Spiaggia Rosa”, a pink beach) and the sea bottom hosts an incredible range of multicolored fishes, corals and seaweeds. And chances are you may also be able to admire rests from the many Roman shipwrecks that happened around the archipelago or meet a pod of dolphins swimming in the wild. But wonders here are not only in the water: have fun exploring the uninhabited islands searching for ruins of the ancient “nuraghe” and WWII gun turrets.

2 - Eating local

2 - Eating local

Sardinia has the highest percentage of centenarians in the world and many believe that one of the reasons for this lies in local food and wine: a perfect excuse to overindulge in Cannonau (the traditional red wine), malloreddus, porceddu, culurgiones……mmm; and you can taste all of those delicacies in incredible settings as local farms (our favourite is “La Sasima”) open the doors of their kitchens at night and lit thousand of candles in their courtyards – dining under the stars at the sound of crickets is something you won’t forget. In the mood for something local yet super exclusive? Petra Segreta in San Pantaleo is the best kept secret of Costa Smeralda for an intimate and jet-set dinner in an enchanted hidden garden.

Phi Beach at sunset is definitely the place to be. This amazing little piece of heaven is nestled among a tiny beach and the ruins of an ancient fort and has the most amazing view of the sun setting straight into a deep blue sea; and, best of the best, they have a dedicated tender service to pick you up straight from your yacht. Relax, sip your aperitivo and surrender to a magic atmosphere at the sound of music from carefully selected DJs. P.s.: Phi Beach holds a number of secret privés, try and discover them all!

The legendary 18 holes Pevero Golf Club is one of the most appreciated green in the world both for the five star service and for the unparalleled sea view. The place is so beautiful that it has been chosen as a setting for the film “007 – The spy who loved me” and, when you get to hole 16, you’ll find a plaque dedicated to James Bond. If you happen to be there on the 16th of August, don’t miss the tournament sponsored by Forst beer: the winner wins an amount of beer equivalent to his body weight!
When you’re done playing golf, don’t miss the chance to taste what is said to be the best Bellini on earth in the amazing bar of the nearby hotel Cala di Volpe.
